About Us
Stephen Walski has always liked working with his hands. Stephen's time has predominantly been spent on major construction projects throughout western Canada as a journeyman pressure welder/fabricator, however there has always been a draw towards offering inspirational, creative and functional pieces of art. Whether he is involved in the construction of a major project or working on the smallest detail there has always been a fascination with different types of steels and alloys and the unique properties each material holds. Stephen has been welding, fabricating and creating metal art for the past 20 years allowing for a vast pool of knowledge and expansive skill set to be drawn from while developing his fascinating and alluring art.
Our shop and studio are located in Central British Columbia. A variety of tools and processes are used in the creation of the Twisted Torch artwork including CNC Plasma cutting, TIG welding and a variety of hand forming tools. Although Stephen appreciates creating original and unique pieces of art, some items for sale will be stock files that have been modified to suit.
Torched steel art....natural, organic coloring brought out of the metal through a cultivated heat transfer process is favoured by the artist, however, these pieces are for indoor enjoyment only as applying protective coatings takes away from the desired effect.
I truly hope you enjoy the art as much as I enjoy the creative process. Thank you for your continued support.
